Ail Down, El Up, Th down, Rudder Up. Servos plug into the TX like this. Front-Ch 2, (2nd from top) Right rear, Ch 1 (top) Left Rear, Ch 6, just above the bottom (batt) Black wires are closest to the edge of the Rx. (Collective Pitch) helis are quite a handful. Fly a good sim 1st, like Real Flight or Aerofly Pro Deluxe. They’re just like the real thing. If you cant fly the Sim, then forget the model unless you have lots of $ for parts, time and patience. Then Memorize my 9 helicopter tips, and don’t deviate from them. It also helps to have some coordination too, because you have to move both sticks in all directions ALL the time! There is never a dead moment! Then watch this video and make sure your heli looks and sounds like this. Good luck, Dave

Greay Video..However, I am just confused when you called the Idle-Up switch as Throttle Hold Switch.. All I know that Throttle hold is to shut off the motor and this is also similar to Throttle Cut..?

Hi Dave,
need your help in setting up my heli. The problem is that after 85% to 100% throttle the motor slows down and the heli starts to come down from hover, to fix that i saw a video which talks about too much pitch on blades and need to reduce it so i do that by unscrewing the servo rods connecting to swashplate all 3 of them togather so once thats done the heli won’t lift up and the pitch is 0 at center stick and the blades are tracked. whats the issue here???

Hi Dave, can you you tell me, I have always been using an 11.1v lipo battery for my honeybee fp instead of the 8.4 nimh. Can I do the same and use the 11.1v lipo in a lama v4?
Cheers

The King II has a Belt driven tail and the CP2 is E.T.R.M.. I don’t own either heli but I would get the King II just because it is belt driven.
Hope that helps.

Do a half loop, then reverse the pitch at the top when your upside down. Of course 5 controls are now reversed and worse when you coming at you, but it also has to have the 3D switch on. Shut the motor down with the throttle hold switch, so the pitch runs, but not the motor, and ease it down like a maple seed. Timing is important at the end and usually ends in tail boom strike by the blades, I never practice that and never jump out of perfectly good airplanes either.

Thanks. Leave the throttle switch alone, when learning. It wont help much on this heli. The 3d switch, you can use, only once in the air and use it for loops, etc, but also it gets most in trouble. It just switches the pitch to 0 at half throttle and locks the motor on wide open.

Great clip!
I’ve been struggling with my honey bee since day one. All the tips on setup and balancing are great, and the throttle fixing switch is a revelation, its jus not in the manual.

It usually will get very slow, and mine shuts off all the way and that is kinda where to set it again. See my latest HB setup video for more.

Its the same adjustments. Just adjust them only slightly, as too much pitch will bog the motor down and it wont get off the ground.
