I did it by trying out for a local radio station swim suit calender. I won the month of December and got a free photo shoot, a hundred bucks and a ton of Budweiser merchandise. It was really fun and I met a lot of really cool gals that i’m still friends with to this day (I was in the ’05 calender). But it didn’t pay well it was more for fun. Now I do insurance and make a lot of money and dress up cute with friends for fun here and there.

Honestly, if you don’t like drunk idiots, don’t do it! I’ve been doing regular promos for about 5 years now and I stopped doing liquor promos for precisely that reason…Although you will meet some nice people, you will also meet many a sloppy drunk. Also, although the hourly rate for bar promos tends to be good ($25 and up), the hours are often short so it can be a lot of hassle for a little money. In addition, you will have to spend a significantly longer amount of time primping than you would for most jobs.
However, if you still want to do it, the best way to go about it would be to talk with your local bartenders and bar owners. (Find out which bars in your area are somewhat high-volume and actually do promotions first.) They will direct you to the beer/liquor reps who do the hiring. Also, if you see a promotion going on, don’t be afraid to ask the girls which company hired them. They may be in a position to help you. My friends and I used to hire other girls this way.
